"Our vision began with a calling to move to Northern Mozambique to adopt children in need. Our time with the Macua people sparked a desire to foster a community characterized by compassion and empowerment. Our calling has since broadened, yet our core mission remains unaltered: to uplift and transform not only the lives of our children but also those of individuals throughout our village. We are dedicated to inspiring residents through education, empowering them with training, and creating sustainable change by equipping them with the skills necessary for self-sufficiency. Committed to community development, we continue to adapt, driven by our enduring goal to make a significant and lasting impact."
Radical Homes was officially founded in 2018, but its roots trace back to a transformative visit to Mozambique in 2006. This journey sparked a deep commitment to community service and change. Throughout the years, our mission has been shaped by our initial outreach efforts and the profound experiences we've encountered, including surviving an ongoing Islamic war in our area, a refugee crisis, and the global upheavals caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russo-Ukrainian War. These challenges have strengthened our resolve and refined our focus on sustainable development. Today, our ministry stands as a beacon of hope, dedicated to empowering the local community through education, vocational training, and infrastructure development. Our commitment to impacting and transforming lives in Northern Mozambique is unwavering
"Radical Homes is dedicated to fostering sustainable development through comprehensive programs that address the immediate and long-term needs of our community. Our ministry provides vocational training and job opportunities in construction and agriculture, aiming to uplift both youth and adults. We offer educational programs to enhance skills and knowledge, alongside providing essential food and shelter for vulnerable children and widows. Our mission is to empower the residents of our village with these critical resources, creating a foundation of support that enables us to share the gospel effectively. We are continually assessing and adapting our approaches to meet the evolving needs of the community we serve."
Your contributions can help us transform lives in Northern Mozambique and create a brighter future.
Living in a predominately Muslim area we have to be shrewd as serpents in the way we go about the great commission. Riding motorcycles into remote villages to "sell" micro SD cards that happen to contain the Audio Bible in Macua? These are some of the methods we have started to implement.

Most definitely not! There are very few cases where we help someone without expecting something in return. In order empower our community instead of enabling, we usually request something simple in exchange for aid. Why? to provide the recipients with a sense of pride. Labor in exchange for training, It might be something as helping to clear out a field for planting, or helping with a harvest. Transporting materials during construction, or simply serving as a guard for a few days. One way or another in most case we make them feel like they helped further our cause and our ministry in Balama.
Your donation is used to fund our programs and initiatives, which directly benefit the village we serve. All of our board in the USA are volunteers, so all of our resources are allocated to Mozambique.
Yes, donors can choose which specific program they would like to support when making a donation. In the rare cases that the donations exceed the campaign/need we will use wisdom to trickle the remaining balance to the next most pressing need of similar kind.
We love company, so feel free to contact us about a mission trip.
